It is not unusual for a high profile Smartphone device make such as Apple to create buzz before

that the iPhone 5 may have a larger display. Case-Mate images show the iPhone comes with tapered

edges that appear to have an aluminum backing similar to the iPad 2. Infact they may not be wrong

as similar processing power is used in the iPad 2 that is touted to be on the iPhone 5 as well. Both

will run on the Apple next generation A5 processor that is much faster than any of its predecessors.

Online hearsay is that the iPhone 5 will have improved battery life and sport a 4-inch screen. An

improved battery life in a slimmer package is hard to beat and if Apple can achieve it, it will signal the

end of other more expensive smartphones.

The phone will also come equipped with an 8 mega-pixel rear camera. Some websites and blogs

say it will be 5 mega-pixel and no one has gone below this figure. It seems as if the everyone wants

a good camera in the iPhone and they would love iPhone to come with a camera of their choice!

Nonetheless, either ways it will be interesting to see if Apple partners with other optical companies for

the manufacturing of their phone cameras. The phone will also be equipped with wireless charging.

Wireless charging is the new buzzword and it will be incredible if the phone actually came with this

feature. It is such an important feature that it is hard to run out of battery when charging it wirelessly.

Interestingly the phone also boasts of excellent battery life which in the long run means a longer

running battery and lower changing times. The device will also feature the iOS 5, which features

iCloud portable storage capabilities. These will enable it to jump the smartphone bandwagon and

become one of the few to sport this feature. With storage on the iCloud, the iPhone can actually

hold unlimited data that can be easily accessible from anywhere in the world. The phone will have

an internal memory of 512 MB. This will be the same as the iPhone 4. Off course all this is mere

speculation however, the rumours could be true as recently the iPhone spec sheet was leaked which

basically said the above things.

However, there are contradictory reports on the size of the iPhone 5. The phone measures 110mm

high x 55mm wide according to some cases though the Apple iPhone 4 is bigger at 115.2mm high x

58.6mm wide. So clearly this makes the iPhone 4 bigger while almost every breaking leak has been

unanimous in saying that the iPhone 5 will have a bigger a screen and will be a bigger phone than its

predecessors.

However, ironically while the websites might mention wrong info on the sizes, they do mention that

that iPhone 5 will have a significantly larger display than the previous Apple iPhones, along with a

thinner and tapered design. Unfortunately, Apple is notorious for keeping its new product releases a

close guarded secret and ever information released so far should be taken with a pinch of salt. But

it begs the question, would manufacturers spend money in making something that may not be true?

They must know or at least must have a basic idea on how the phone will look like.

Apple may also launch an iPhone 4S. The iPhone 4S could well be the cheaper version of the iPhone

4. The iPhone 4S could sport an 8GB hard drive and would be the affordable brother of the feature

laden iPhone 5.
